Terre d'Arengo, Manto Pecorino di Offida 2024

A white wine from Marche, made from the indigenous Pecorino grape. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 300 meters on sand, limestone, and clay with stone fragments. The wine matures for months on fine lees in stainless steel, which gives it extra body and depth.

What you smell
White flowers and tropical fruit, with clear notes of Williams pear. Behind that, a subtle, stony undertone.

What you taste
Fresh and vibrant, driven by citrus that keeps the wine crisp. The finish is slightly savory, and the aging on lees gives a round, slightly fuller texture without becoming heavy. Can be kept well until 2029.

How it's made
100% Pecorino. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, followed by months of aging on fine lees. No oak influence, allowing the fruit and freshness to take precedence.

Serving
Serve at 8 to 10 degrees. Decanting is not necessary. A standard white wine glass is sufficient.

Pairs well with

  • Pan-fried yellowtail with Jerusalem artichoke and hazelnut cream: the citrus freshness cuts through the oily fish, and the savory finish complements the nutty cream.
  • Pear and pecorino ravioli with walnut-honey sauce: the pear notes in the wine mirror the filling, and the acidity balances the creamy sauce.
  • Grilled chicken with lemon and herbs: the fresh citrus and light body of the wine suit lean poultry.
