Tenuta San Jacopo, Costa di Camenata 2025

Tenuta San Jacopo has been working on the hills of Cavriglia in Tuscany since 1737, cultivating its vineyards organically. This rosato comes from vineyards at an altitude of 300 meters, where cooler nights maintain freshness in the grapes. Only 3,500 bottles, made from 100% Sangiovese.

What you smell
White flowers, rosehip, and small red berries. Fresh and clear, no heavy fruit load.

What you taste
Dry and crisp, with juicy red fruit and a saline finish. The acidity is inviting and keeps the wine light on the tongue. Short to medium finish, made to be drunk young.

How it's made
Sangiovese, hand-picked at the end of September in 20 kg crates. Gentle pressing, followed by vinification as white wine in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks (16-18°C). No malolactic fermentation, which preserves freshness. 8 months of aging in stainless steel, then 2 months in the bottle.

Serve
Serve at 8-10°C. Do not decant. A standard white wine glass is sufficient.

Great with

  • Vitello tonnato: the fresh acidity cuts through the creamy tuna mayonnaise and keeps the dish light.
  • Grilled prawns with lemon: the saline finish and red fruit pair beautifully with sweet shellfish and citrus.
  • Pasta with tomato and basil: Sangiovese and tomato are a classic Tuscan duo, even in rosé form.
