Neri, Etna Rosato DOC 2025

A rosé from the northeastern slope of Mount Etna, at an altitude of 700 meters. The volcanic soil and old vines (up to 30 years) give this wine its character. Made from one hundred percent Nerello Mascalese, the classic grape of the mountain.

What you smell
Red fruit and peach, with a light floral touch. Bright and inviting, not heavy.

What you taste
Crisp and fresh due to the bright acidity, which makes your mouth water without being sharp. The volcanic soil gives a salty, stony undertone. The finish lingers for a long time.

How it's made
A few hours of skin contact, then gentle pressing and cold settling. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with selected yeasts, preserving its fresh and fruity character.

Serving
Serve at 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. Decanting is not necessary. A regular white wine glass will suffice.

Pairs well with

  • Raw fish or oysters: the fresh acidity and salty undertone cut through the briny fish and keep everything light.
  • Grilled fish: the red fruit and freshness complement the smoky grilled notes without overpowering them.
  • Poultry such as chicken or turkey: light enough for white meat, with enough structure to stand up to it.

Ratings
James Suckling: 93 points
