Domaine Ricardelle de Lautrec, Scène n°6 Viognier 2025

Ricardelle de Lautrec is located in the Languedoc, near Carcassonne, and operates organically. Their Scène range focuses on pure grape expression: one grape, no oak influence, maximum clarity.

What you smell
Honeysuckle and hawthorn, with apricot and a hint of candied lemon peel behind it.

What you taste
Full and juicy, with that typical Viognier richness of honey and white flowers. The freshness keeps it balanced; a slightly saline, mineral note lingers, preventing it from becoming too opulent.

How it's made
100% Viognier, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. No oak, no malolactic fermentation, purely focused on the aromatics of the grape.

Serve
Chilled, 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. Excellent as an aperitif, no decanting needed.

Pairs well with

  • Lemon roast chicken: the richness of the wine complements the tender meat, and the citrus in both enhances each other.
  • Salad with goat cheese and honey: the floral honey notes in the wine align perfectly, and the freshness cuts through the fat of the cheese.
  • Thai green curry: the slight residual sugar effect of ripe Viognier tempers the heat, and the aromatics match the spices.
