Domaine Ricardelle de Lautrec, Lune Pinot Noir 2025

Ricardelle de Lautrec proves that the Languedoc can do more than powerful red blends. This family estate, certified organic, extracts a lightness from Pinot Noir rarely seen here. The combination of cool nights and calcareous soils keeps the freshness intact.

What you smell
Fresh raspberries and red cherries, with a hint of blackcurrant in the background. No wood, pure fruit.

What you taste
Light and smooth, with barely perceptible tannins that give the wine a gliding quality. The acidity keeps it fresh without becoming sharp. Short, fruity finish. Drink young.

How it's made
100% Pinot Noir from organically certified vineyards. Vinification in stainless steel to keep the fruit central.

Serve
Lightly chilled at 14-16°C. No decanter needed. A standard red wine glass is sufficient.

Pairs well with

  • Duck breast with orange sauce: the red fruit notes of the wine complement the citrus without clashing with the light gamey flavour.
  • Grilled salmon: the lightness of this Pinot doesn't overpower the fish, and its freshness cuts through the fat.
  • Platter with aged Gouda or Comté: the mild tannins and fruitiness balance the salty, nutty cheese.

Awards
